JON DAVIS
As a child growing up in Tidewater, Virginia, Jon’s parents often took him to historic Williamsburg to tour old homes. This early inspiration put him on a path to a Masters in Architecture from The University of Virginia. After graduating, Jon spent 15 years practicing architecture with some of Atlanta’s most well-respected firms. During that time he came to realize that his true passions went beyond the drawing board. He accepted a position as a Director of Design and Construction with Ben Carter Enterprises. There he oversaw the redevelopment and construction of downtown Savannah’s historic Brought Street, which included over 50 historic properties with a budget of $90 million. Jon then moved on to a position as a Senior Development Manager with a regional townhome developer where he oversaw more than $120 million of construction projects across three states. Having worked in both architecture and construction, Jon recognized the need for a more seamless integration of the two practices. He created Northside Builders to provide optimal results from the convergence point of design and building. In his spare time, he can be found cycling on the Beltline and spending time with his two daughters.
JOHN MCHUGH
John is an Atlanta native who is passionate about all things custom and complex, and a 3rd generation builder. Growing up he spent time working on sites after class when he was not playing sports, doing odd jobs and helping in any way possible. His grandfather introduced him to home building at an early age, where he learned the intricacies of constructing custom homes. Between semesters at college, John would return home to work for the family business, honing real-life skills and learning the best practices for successful built environments first hand. Intrigued to take steps to have a deeper understanding he majored in construction engineering. Upon graduation John gained experience in commercial construction, multi-family construction, development, design, and residential building. A lifelong goal of his was to start a design-build firm and as a result in 2019 he co-formed Northside Builders in order to get back to his roots. John spends his free time with Madeline and their dog Oliver, enjoying the great outdoors, constantly learning new things, golfing, and traveling the globe.
